THROWBACK TUESDAY: "NATURAL"- S CLUB 7

This week's throwback is brought to you by S Club 7. Does anyone remember S Club 7? I was a huge fan. I mean I faithfully watched their television show on ABC Family, I even had all of their albums. I remember in middle school,  my friends would make fun of me because I was into S Club 7, while they were not lol. I could care less about what they had to say, I was different and marched to the beat of my own drum. And I proudly listened to my pop music on the bus, while they were blasting rap.  Don't get me wrong, I like my rap music as well. In fact, growing up I never limited myself to one particular genre of music, because I was into different types of music. I was just not afraid to show that I was open to different types of music, regardless of what others had to say.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DRAKE!!!!

So yesterday my boo Drizzy celebrated his 28th birthday.  I know I'm late but according to Drake, "better late than never."  The 0 to 100 rapper celebrated his birthday the only way he knows how, lavishly and in style.  Drake and crew rented out Dave and Busters in Times Square, NY for a night of some good ol' fashion fun and arcade games. He even brought along his own Dj to keep the tracks spinning on the ones and twos.             Some of his presents                Drake and Keith Sweat Photos:  Drake's Instagram Hotnewhiphop.com

THROWBACK TUESDAY "MUST BE NICE"- LYFE JENNINGS

I absolutely love this song. You can't help but to just sit back and think about the words in the song. Because it really is nice having someone who understands you. An understanding person in General will go along way with you, because they are slow to anger and they will be patient with you.  Relationships in general can be tough, especially if you are a prideful person and do not like to admit your faults/ when you are wrong. You will not always be right, but if you can man up to it and apologize instead of getting angry, you will be surprised to see how far in life you will go. Relationships are also not about how much the other person can give/ do for you, while you take/ do little in return. It's a give and take, not a take, take and take some more. Don't take advantage of or walk all over someone, because they are nice and willing to do things for you.

THROWBACK TUESDAY: "LONELY"- BRITNEY SPEARS

I know we have all been in that one relationship where we've wasted our time by constantly taking that one ex back. You know, the one that made you weak, the one that was pretty much your kryptonite, until that one day when the shit just became old, annoying and irritating when he just would not get it.  He pushed you to your breaking point until you finally realized that you were better off single and on your own, instead of repeating the toxic cycle by taking his sorry ass back time after time. I'm telling you from experience, guys do not always know what they have until it's gone. And when they see that you were actually serious with wanting to move on and move forward with your life without them, that's when they realize that they had something good.

THROWBACK TUESDAY: "FOOLISH"- ASHANTI

This week's Throwback Tuesday is Ashanti's Foolish. This was the first album that I bought with my allowance money that I saved up. I 'll never forget that day, went into FYE with my dad, I got the cd and I'm super excited as I'm walking up to the cashier, but before the guy can even scan it, my dad says make sure that it's the clean version and not the explicit one.  Completely embarrassed at this point, because I knew the cashier, couldn't even look him in his eye when I paid for it smdh. I was thinking are you kidding me? I was 14 years old and entering high school within the coming few weeks and I couldn't even buy the damn explicit version of my first cd? This was definitely one of those times when it sucked to grow up a Caribbean household in America.

THROWBACK TUESDAY: "SHE'S LIKE THE WIND"- LUMIDEE FT. TONY SUNSHINE

This week's Throwback Tuesday is Lumidee featuring Tony Sunshine, "She's Like The Wind." This is most definitely hands down one of my favorite songs. And have you guys seen Tony Sunshine? OMG!!! I had the hugest crush on him, not only is he fineeeee lol he can also sing his ass off, which is so sexy to me.

THROWBACK TUESDAY: "THE POWER OF LOVE"- CELINE DION

Ever since I was a little girl, I've claimed that this will be my wedding song. I'm such a hopeless romantic, but don't we all want to be in love and be loved? I know being hurt time after time by some asshole that didn't deserve you in the first place can definitely mess with you, making it very hard for you to open up and trust another. And once you eventually get pass the hurt and the pain, love can be a beautiful thing.  How do I know you ask? Well, because I have been there and I do know that getting your heartbroken is not fun, but believe me when I say, it does get better with time. The Power of love has got to be one of my favorite Celine Dion songs of all time. Do you guys have a favorite Celine Dion song? Photos: Google Images
