MOVIE REVIEW: TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION

Last night was movie night for the boo and I, so we decided to see Transformers. I was actually reading some reviews, prior to seeing the movie and was surprised to see such low ratings. But, like a true fan I didn't care, I really wanted to see it plus Mark Wahlberg was in it so I was down lol. The theater was jammed pack so we sat closer to the front which was fine, because it made me feel as though I was also in the movie (Imax 3D). Let me just say that this movie was completely different from the rest of the Transformers movies. Micheal Bay also directed this one, however this movie is not a continuation of the last installment, so if you were hoping that it would just pick right back up, you will be disappointed.  Truth be told the movie was not at all what I was expecting. Although it had a few twists and turns to it, I still enjoyed this movie and I would definitely recommend it. If you haven't seen the trailer, check it out below. Pho...

FEATURE FRIDAY: MOVIE REVIEW "NOAH"

So, Wednesday I got out of work earlier than normal, so my boyfriend and I decided to have a date night. After stuffing our faces at dinner, we decided to see a movie.  Noah was not the initial movie we planned to see. We were originally going to see Divergent, unfortunately the showtimes were not coinciding with our schedule. I must admit that I was hesitant to see this movie, especially since I found out the director was an atheist. But despite both of our doubts, we decided to just go see it. The actors did a great job, however being a firm believer in God this movie was just not my cup of tea. Noah was pretty much based on a little fact and a lot of fiction/ fabrication. The movie was just weird, grim and very dark to me. In my opinion, this movie has got to be the least biblical bible movie I've ever seen. The director completely put a dark twist on such a bright/ uplifting story.  Final words: Would I recommend this movie? Absolutely not!

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: THINK LIKE A MAN

Think Like A Man is based on Steve's Harvey's book "Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man.." I actually do have this book, I've had it for a few years now but have yet to fully indulge in it.. So before I watch the movie, I'm gonna definitely indulge in the book.. I'm actually excited to see this movie.. The cast is made up of a few all stars as well, so I know it is going to be a great movie..

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: REPUBLIC OF WADIYA

I know last week I definitely was slacking with some of my posts, because I didn't do a few of my weekly posts like movie Wednesday, so this week's movie Wednesday feature is "Republic Of Wadiya." This movie is set to hit theaters this summer and I can already tell that there will definitely be some people protesting this movie, sorta like what they did when Borat came out..   Sasha Cohen (Borat), is also the main character in this movie..  So, I know it's going to be funny to some people and may even be offensive to others.. Either way, I def love a great laugh and I am excited for this movie to come out..

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: YOUNG ADULT

Charlize Theron  plays Mavis Gary, a writer of teen literature who returns to her small hometown to relive her glory days and attempt to reclaim her happily married high school sweetheart..  When returning home proves more difficult than she thought, Mavis forms an unusual bond with a former classmate  who hasn't quite gotten over high school, either.. Young Adult hits theaters December 16th.. This a one movie that I absolutely cannot wait to see.. It def seems like one of those hilariously funny movies from the mere fact that she's trying to win back her high school flame who is now married with a child.. Yup, this should def be interesting..

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: GIRL WITH THE DRGAON TATTOO

For this week's movie wednesday feature is Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, which comes to theathers on December 21st.. "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" is the first film in Columbia Pictures' three-picture adaptation of Stieg Larsson's literary blockbuster "The Millennium Trilogy." Directed by David Fincher and starring Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara, the film is based on the first novel in the trilogy, which altogether have sold 50 million copies in 46 countries and become a worldwide phenomenon. The screenplay is by Steven Zaillian. Just from watching the movie trailer, I'm intrigued with this movie. I've heard of the books, but never got the chance to read them before.. Can't wait for it to come out..
