THROWBACK TUESDAY: "WET ME"- KROSFYAH

As you all know, I was born and raised in Trinidad and moved to the States at the tender age of 10. Growing up in Trinidad, I was exposed to different genres of music such as calypso, soca and reggae. Soca actually originated in Trinidad and spread throughout the Caribbean. So this week's Throwback Tuesday is one of my favorite soca songs. It's from back in the 90's and truth be told it brings back a lot of great memories, especially from my childhood growing up in Trinidad. Sidebar: To this day if I hear this song in a club, I will go crazy lol.

I am so grateful that I grew up in the Caribbean, because it has definitely had a positive impact on the person I am today. Being from a different cultural background, not only was I exposed to different types of music, I am also very open to trying different things, especially food. (I love food!!!). And I am very accepting of people no matter where they are from, because the Caribbean is just one big melting pot and although we are from different places, we come together as one. And I absolutely love how united we are, as people from the Caribbean.
