WORLD AIDS DAY


Every year, December 1st is observed as World Aids Day.. This day is dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of the HIV virus.. The AIDS epidemic claimed an estimated 2 million lives in 2007, of which about 270,000 were children. It is one of the most destructive epidemics in recorded history.. 

The red ribbon is the global symbol for solidarity with HIV- positive people and those living with AIDS. Similar to the pink ribbon for Breast Cancer Awareness.. 


Practicing safe sex is a great way to protect yourself from contracting the virus.. As well as, getting yourself tested.. Whether you decide on safe sex or no sex, this is better than a positive test result.. Please remember that although there are people out there living with the HIV/ AIDS, some people do lose their fight against AIDS.. Always Protect yourself..
