I know I'm late, but I hope you all had a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day. I had a great Memorial Day as well as weekend, because two of my friends came down to visit me in Delaware, one from NY and the other from Mass. Usually, none of my friends venture down this far (even though it's only a two hour and a half bus ride from New York). So I was very excited to see them. And I wanted to share the activities we did with you guys.
Like I've stated in a previous "Thought of the week" post, although I grew up in Delaware I never really enjoyed the nightlife, because everything in the state shuts down by 1am. Whereas, in New York a club/ lounge may not close until 3am or even 4am.
FRIDAY- We went to Latin Fusion, it's a Latin restaurant/ lounge in Delaware. And we all had an amazing time. The music was hot, I love it when Dj's mix it up and play a little bit of everything which he did. Since we were also hungry, we tried the empanadas and they were amazing. I'll definitely go back.
SATURDAY- We went to Firestone, which is also a restaurant/ lounge with an outside deck. It was my first time going, which is crazy because it's a hang out spot for people in Delaware. I was not at all disappointed and neither were the girls. They had a live band as well as a dj. It was really nice.
SUNDAY- We went to one of my favorite places/ the one of the best amusement parks on the east coast, Six Flags.
The lines were ridiculously long, because everyone and their mama were in the building. So aside from the three or four rides that we actually got to go on, we also did the safari which was an amazing experience.
It was an amazing weekend with my chicas. So happy they were able to come visit me and see finally see Delaware!
