THROWBACK TUESDAY: "LONELY"- BRITNEY SPEARS

I know we have all been in that one relationship where we've wasted our time by constantly taking that one ex back. You know, the one that made you weak, the one that was pretty much your kryptonite, until that one day when the shit just became old, annoying and irritating when he just would not get it.  He pushed you to your breaking point until you finally realized that you were better off single and on your own, instead of repeating the toxic cycle by taking his sorry ass back time after time. I'm telling you from experience, guys do not always know what they have until it's gone. And when they see that you were actually serious with wanting to move on and move forward with your life without them, that's when they realize that they had something good.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT- GOALS AND ASPIRATIONS

"It will hurt. It will take time. It will require dedication. It will require willpower. You will need to make healthy decisions. It requires sacrifice. You will need to push your body to it's max. There will be temptation. But, I promise you, when you reach your goal, it's worth it."- Unknown

WORDLESS WEDNESDAYS: RIPLEY'S BELIEVE IT OR NOT!

Although I've lived in New York for about 6 years, I have never been to Ripley's. Like most New Yorkers, I've walked right past it, been inside the lobby, but never beyond the gate. So, a few months ago when I went to NY to celebrate my birthday, I decided that I was going to make it my business to go and check out Ripley's and I had a blast posing with all the statues. Check out a few bonus pictures below.  Buddha I am terrified of cockroaches  Man with three legs The last supper painted with spider webs

THROWBACK TUESDAY: "FOOLISH"- ASHANTI

This week's Throwback Tuesday is Ashanti's Foolish. This was the first album that I bought with my allowance money that I saved up. I 'll never forget that day, went into FYE with my dad, I got the cd and I'm super excited as I'm walking up to the cashier, but before the guy can even scan it, my dad says make sure that it's the clean version and not the explicit one.  Completely embarrassed at this point, because I knew the cashier, couldn't even look him in his eye when I paid for it smdh. I was thinking are you kidding me? I was 14 years old and entering high school within the coming few weeks and I couldn't even buy the damn explicit version of my first cd? This was definitely one of those times when it sucked to grow up a Caribbean household in America.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT- SHOWING EMOTIONS IS A SIGN OF STRENGTH

"Never apologize for being sensitive or emotional. Let this be a sign that you've got a big heart and aren't afraid to let others see it. Showing your emotions is a sign of strength."

EYE CANDY THURSDAY: ALEXANDER SKARSGARD

Eye Candy Thursday is back again! This week's feature is none other than Alexander Skarsgard, aka Eric Northman on True Blood. Although True Blood just wrapped up it's last and final season, it will always be one of my favorite mysterious television shows. Eric was not my favorite vampire on True Blood, but I cannot deny the fact that he was uberly sexy and constantly oozing sex appeal.  Photos: boralginmages.appspot.com www.trueblood-online.com www.nydailynews.com momentummoonlight.com www.alexskarsgard.net www.gq.com

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY: 2014 HEART WALK

My family and I recently did the Heart Walk to promote awareness and prevention for heart disease, stroke as well as other cardiovascular diseases. I had no idea, but the American Heart Association is the largest voluntary health organization currently working to treat, prevent and defeat cardiovascular diseases.  This was the second walk I've ever done, the first being the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer walk for a cure. I'm very glad the whole family did the walk, it was hard to get out of bed at 6am, but it was for an amazing cause, which I am all for. Check out the rest of the pictures from our walk below.

THROWBACK TUESDAY: "SHE'S LIKE THE WIND"- LUMIDEE FT. TONY SUNSHINE

This week's Throwback Tuesday is Lumidee featuring Tony Sunshine, "She's Like The Wind." This is most definitely hands down one of my favorite songs. And have you guys seen Tony Sunshine? OMG!!! I had the hugest crush on him, not only is he fineeeee lol he can also sing his ass off, which is so sexy to me.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT- RELATIONSHIPS

"Some of the biggest challenges in relationships came from the fact that most people enter a relationship in order to get something. They are trying to find someone who's going to make them feel good. In reality, the only way a relationship will last is if you see your relationship as a place that you go to give, and not a place that you go to take." - Anthony Robbins

Thursday Swizz Beats and his beautiful wife, Alicia Keys celebrated his 36th birthday in style at the Capitale Restaurant in New York City. The birthday bash was fit for a king as Swizz enjoyed the taste of royalty for his special night, but it was his queen, Alicia who had all the attention as she glowed. Among the attendees of family and close friends was Swizz's ex wife Mashonda.
