Eye Candy Thursdays: The Guys of Magic Mike

If you guys haven't heard of this movie or have yet to see it let me refresh your memory.. I have seen this movie more than once lol.. Honestly speaking, I wasn't really into the movie plot, don't get me wrong, they did have an interesting story line going, however, I was more interested in watching Adam Rodriquez and Channing Tatum with their shirts off. Cast Channing Tatum as Michael "Magic Mike" Lane Alex Pettyfer as Adam (The Kid) Matthew McConaughey as Dallas Joe Manganiello as Big Dick Richie Adam Rodríguez as Tito

THOUGHT OF THE WEEK "Describe who you are in one sentence."

I am an ambitious, motivated, determinated, hardworking, down to earth, kindhearted, full of life, humorous individual who loves to make others laugh.

THROWBACK TUESDAY: "RUDE BOY"- RIHANNA

It's no secret that I am ahuge Rihanna fan. It is nice to see a fellow West Indian make it big and still reps her Caribbean heritage to the fullest. I just love the fact that she has that "I don't give a damn attitude, I'm gonna do what the hell I want, when I want." And she does not care who has something negative to say about her.  Rihanna has truly overcome a lot of obstacles, no matter what  the critics were saying about her, and she has come out a much stronger, kickass individual.  Rude boy is one of those songs that always has me in a ready to party, Twerk and wuk my waist mood all in one lol.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

"To get up when you are down, to fight more intensely when you are struggling; to put in the extra effort when you are in sheer pain, to comeback when nobody expects you to, and to stand tall when everyone is pulling you down are what makes a champion."- Apoorve Dubey

Update

So I know I had a mini hiatus from blogging again, which I apologize for, however there has just been so much going on in the last few weeks or so. Which I would like to share with you guys, I went on a cruise for the first time to the Bahamas (I wish I could go on another one soon). Also, I'm thinking of going back to school. This is something that I have been debating for a while now. It's for sure that I'm gonna go back to school, I have just been debating what I'm going to study. I have my Bachelor's degree in Communications (Journalism) with a minor in Sociology/Anthropology. And I'm currently working in the healthcare field as a Clinical Technician, and believe me when I say that I never wanted to work in the healthcare field, but I do like it. So much so that I'm thinking of just staying in the healthcare field instead of going into the liberal arts field again.  Time has just been flying by and I am not getting any younger, so hopef

EYE CANDY THURSDAY

So for this week's eye candy, I was actually going to feature someone else, however for so reason I kept singing one particular verse of Miguel's "Adorn" at work. It was stuck in my head all day, so I decided to feature Miguel as this week's eye candy Thursday instead. Enjoy and sorry for the late post.

THOUGHT OF THE WEEK "ARE YOU AWARE THAT SOMEONE HAS IT WORSE THAN YOU?

I know it's human nature to want to whine/ complain about how unfair life can be sometimes. However,  whenever one starts to think/ feel this way, one should think that though the situation may seem bad at the time, it really isn't that bad, because at this very moment someone else is dealing with something much worse/bigger than my problem. Something that will make my problem seem miniscule or even petty. And the crazy part about this is it could be someone living right next door to you, or even someone near and dear to you.  Your work life may not be going that great, but at least you have a job/ a roof over your head, because there are thousands of people living right here in America that has neither of those things that we tend to take for granted. Moral of this thought?! Don't take anything or anyone in life for granted. And just know that when you think you have it bad, you really don't because someone else in this world has it far worse than you do. Alwa
