HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Halloween 2009 I hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween. How are you guys spending your Halloween? I am actually going to New York for the weekend to spend some time with some of my friends that I have not seen in a very long time. And since I have not dressed up for Halloween since my college days, my friend and I decided to dress up this year and celebrate by going to a costume party in the city. I will do a follow up post later showing you guys my costume for this year. I wanna hear from you guys, if you are wearing costumes, tell me what you're gonna be?                    Halloween 2008 Photos: Nikita Adanna Facebook

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DRAKE!!!!

So yesterday my boo Drizzy celebrated his 28th birthday.  I know I'm late but according to Drake, "better late than never."  The 0 to 100 rapper celebrated his birthday the only way he knows how, lavishly and in style.  Drake and crew rented out Dave and Busters in Times Square, NY for a night of some good ol' fashion fun and arcade games. He even brought along his own Dj to keep the tracks spinning on the ones and twos.             Some of his presents                Drake and Keith Sweat Photos:  Drake's Instagram Hotnewhiphop.com

RENEE ZELLWEGER'S NEW LOOK

Did Renee Zellweger get plastic surgery? The debate on whether or not the Academy award winner went under the knife is sending Hollywood into overdrive. Monday night, Zellweger attended Elle's Women in Hollywood Awards sporting a different look prompting people to ask the question "what happened to her face?" Pertaining to her new look, Renee stated " My friends say that I look peaceful. I am healthy," Renee went on to say. "For a long time I wasn't doing such a good job with that. I took on a schedule that is not realistically sustainable and didn't allow for taking care of myself. Rather than stopping to recalibrate, I kept running until I was depleted and made bad choices about how to conceal the exhaustion. I was aware of the chaos and finally chose different things."  Honestly, I don't think she looks bad, of course Hollywood/ the general public will take some time to adjust to her new look, especially since we've grown to love her

THROWBACK TUESDAY "MUST BE NICE"- LYFE JENNINGS

I absolutely love this song. You can't help but to just sit back and think about the words in the song. Because it really is nice having someone who understands you. An understanding person in General will go along way with you, because they are slow to anger and they will be patient with you.  Relationships in general can be tough, especially if you are a prideful person and do not like to admit your faults/ when you are wrong. You will not always be right, but if you can man up to it and apologize instead of getting angry, you will be surprised to see how far in life you will go. Relationships are also not about how much the other person can give/ do for you, while you take/ do little in return. It's a give and take, not a take, take and take some more. Don't take advantage of or walk all over someone, because they are nice and willing to do things for you.

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY: MISSING SUMMER

Summer is my absolute favorite season, I know I've said that to you guys before. I don't why, maybe it's because I was born/ grew up in the Caribbean where it's hot all year round. But now that it's fall and becoming a lot colder, I just realized how much I'm missing the Summertime. I am not at all a fan of the cold and judging by the way this fall has been so far, I am definitely not looking forward to winter.

STERILE PROCESSING WEEK: INTERVIEW WITH STERILE PROCESSING TECHNICIANS

First and foremost, I would like to wish all of my fellow Sterile Processing Technicians a happy SPD week, I know it's almost over but thank you for your service and all you do in the field of Sterile Processing. I would also like to thank all of my colleagues for taking the time out of their busy lives to participate in this interview making this post possible.  As Sterile Processing Week wraps up, I wanted to share a more in depth behind the scenes look into the life of a Sterile Processing Technician as well as what it is we do exactly. Sterile Processing one is the most important part of patient care. It is the critical step where surgical and medical devices, supplies and equipment are prepared, cleaned, prepped, processed, stored, and eventually issued to the main OR for patient care.  As  SPD technicians although we may sometimes feel as though we are often overlooked and/ or under appreciated, we take patient safety very seriously. The Sterile Processing Department is an ex
