THOUGHT OF THE WEEK: WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED ABOUT LIFE SO FAR?

I am still young, so I can't really say that I have lived a long time or say that I have this extensive amount of knowledge about life. However I can say this, in my 26 years of living, I have experienced a lot (not as bad  as some people have), but enough to say that I have taken every experience as a lesson learned and not a mistake. With that being said, I have learned from my past and moved on from each situation whatever it may have been with a new perspective. So, from my own experiences this is what I have learnt about life thus far.

*I've learned that you should always put your trust in the Lord, no matter what just have faith.

*Family over everything. (Blood is most definitely thicker than water).

*Mother always knows best. (Why? Because most times she has been through the same situation and can give you great advice/ insight).

*Things happen at the right time, not when you want it to happen. (Nothing happens before it's time).

*People are in your life for a season, a reason, or a lifetime. (It's up to you to figure out which it is)

*People are not as genuine as they may seem. (There are a lot of wolves in sheeps clothing in this world, again it's up to you to unmask the wolves).

*Be careful who you call a "friend."/ When you have a big group of "girlfriends," not all of them  in the group are genuninely your friend. (Some of them are there to break you down and then say they are saying this because they are your "friend." A TRUE friend will never break you down, just remember that).

*No weapons formed against you, shall prosper.

*Love can be a great thing, filled with plenty ups and downs. But it is truly an amazing thing/ feeling.

*Heartbreak is a mother...... So on and so forth

*Live every moment, Laugh everyday, Love beyond words. (Stole this from my instagram bio @nikita_adana).

*You win some, you lose some.

*Things fall out of place for better things to fall into place.

*Pray, pray pray!! It's the answer, don't ask questions just trust me on this one!

*Everything happens for a reason.

*Do what makes you happy. Don't do things just please others if it's not pleasing to yourself. (Always put you first).

*Live life with no regrets.

*Y.O.L.O.- YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE!!! (The phrase may be played out, but it's my motto).

STERILE PROCESSING WEEK: INTERVIEW WITH STERILE PROCESSING TECHNICIANS

First and foremost, I would like to wish all of my fellow Sterile Processing Technicians a happy SPD week, I know it's almost over but thank you for your service and all you do in the field of Sterile Processing. I would also like to thank all of my colleagues for taking the time out of their busy lives to participate in this interview making this post possible.  As Sterile Processing Week wraps up, I wanted to share a more in depth behind the scenes look into the life of a Sterile Processing Technician as well as what it is we do exactly. Sterile Processing one is the most important part of patient care. It is the critical step where surgical and medical devices, supplies and equipment are prepared, cleaned, prepped, processed, stored, and eventually issued to the main OR for patient care.  As  SPD technicians although we may sometimes feel as though we are often overlooked and/ or under appreciated, we take patient safety very seriously.
